REGULATIONS FOR A CORRECT LABELING
The label should respect European regulations’ standards and to be eye-catching for consumers. According to article 19 of Regulation (EC) No.1223/2009 cosmetic products could be on the market only if the pack and the label mention compulsory indications in indelible characters and easily readable. This information is necessary to customers for the proper use of the product and to determine the extent of the cosmetic product.
Label and packaging render the product distinguishable from all its similar on the market, so they must comply with all European regulations’ standards and necessarily attached to PIF.
-Art. 13 Irregular Label: penalties of 500 € to 4000 € per cosmetic product.
